Deputy Chief Margason began working for Avon in 1998. During his time with the agency, Margason has worked as a uniform officer for 20 years, where he has served as a night shift Sergeant and night shift Lieutenant. While serving in these capacities, Deputy Chief Margason served as a field training officer and program coordinator as well as an accident reconstructionist. Deputy Chief Margason was appointed to the position of Deputy Chief of the Enforcement Division in December of 2018. Deputy Chief Margason is also a 1998 graduate of Indiana State University where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Criminology. Deputy Chief Margason supervises all uniform officers and oversees our proactive policing initiative, known as the Crime Action Team.
